August: Adelante!
At each turn of the pandemic, TeachWell promoted practices for post-traumatic growth. We coached our clients to believe in their resilience. We motivated educators to bounce forward rather than bounce back. Our motto for the beginning of this school year is ADELANTE! In Spanish, this means forward and is said with a tone of momentum, energy, and spirit! We believe in the spirit of our educators. We remain your steady partner in this journey - ADELANTE!

TeachWell recognizes the past two year’s upheaval has built resourcefulness and resilience in educators. We hear cautious optimism for this year. We understand it will bring its own set of challenges and our hope is that with a (hopefully!) less complicated year ahead, the resilience of our educators will shine. By clicking on the links at the bottom of this page, you will find information regarding our offerings this year. The pandemic exposed the need for educator wellness. TeachWell is committed to carrying this torch forward . . . ADELANTE!

TeachWell’s offerings focus on both the personal and the systemic. We know that true well-being is a personal practice that is supported by a healthy school climate and culture. While they can exist separately, the impact is mitigated unless the two are joined.
We are a partner on a journey towards comprehensive wellness. We bring support and expertise to create an approach that works for you and your school. We understand that an effective approach to educator well-being, as well as a thriving school climate and culture, must recognize unique attributes and specific needs.
Over the past two years, we've had the honor to meet many other providers whose purpose and passion is educator well-being. With inspiration and a sense of collective purpose, we lean into this network to expand the offerings of support to you. You will see these offerings in our promotional materials. We want you to feel that there is a community of care here to support you as educators.
And to begin the year, we invite you to a few practices. Consider the following:
1. Take a moment to recharge―keep it simple, achievable, and enJOYable. What works for you: a morning ritual, a walk, a weekly call with a friend, three minutes of quiet?
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”―Anne Lamott
2. Stay close to your purpose, your why. Remember that education is a human endeavor and stay close to your own humanity!
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”―Howard Thurman
3. Allow yourself to FAIL. Perfectionism chips away at well-being. Failure is an easy way to learn what doesn’t work, what we don’t want to do again, and what others need.
“Don't aim for perfection. Aim for ‘better than yesterday.’”―Izey Victoria Odiase
4. Recognize, and then let go of, the things outside of your control. This is a practice and a pause. It is easy to waste energy, time, and worry on things outside of our control
“Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t.” – Steve Maraboli
